I Am Running Because I Think There Needs To Be More Accountability In A One Party System That Clearly Just Hasn’t Worked.I Am Running To Spark Solutions And Legislation That Protects The Land, Water And People Of Hawaii, While Building A Bridge For The Next Generations To Thrive Righteously
Food Security- A Maui County Dept. Of Agriculture Is A Big Step In Right Direction, More Community Gardens, Farm Programs At Prisons, Farmer Apprentice Programs, Plant More Breadfruit Trees Are Just Some Examples Of What We Could Do To Accomplish This Goal. Affordable Housing- Freeze All New Luxury Construction, Re-evaluate Housing Inventory, Developers Must H Honor That Housing Will Be Affordable, Tax On Second Houses, More Community Input Are Some Ways I Will Explore.
I Would Focus On Natural Solutions For Shoreline Erosion And Reinforement Of Infrastructure Among The Numerous Other Threats That Climate Change Poses For Hawaii.
