Vilas County Clerk

The County Clerk is an elected County Constitutional Officer. Many of the duties of the office are prescribed by the Wisconsin Statutes including coordinating federal, county, and local elections; maintaining a county directory; issuing and maintaining oaths, bonds, and certificates for all county officials; maintaining claims filed against the county; and coordinating the federal census. The County Clerk's Office is the official record keeper for many basic County functions, including acting as the Secretary of the County Board of Supervisors. Voters elect the county clerk to serve a four-year term. There are no term limits.
