Is there anything else you'd like to share with the voters?
For the last two years, I have been the Clerk of Ward 8. Working the polls is an essential one in a Democracy. Too often elected positions for those working the polls have been filled by way of a handful of write-in votes. This job is too important to be left to chance. Although the work is difficult, I found that the effort it took to put in the grueling hours on election day to be ultimately fulfilling. I greatly enjoyed the feeling that I was returning something to my community. I want to be working as Clerk given the upcoming Presidential Primary. This is the worst time to be trying to train someone new.
Having worked in a polling location for the last 3 years first as a registrar then as Ward Clerk has taught me a lot about the election process. As a former software engineer, I have a detail-oriented background that is a plus in handling the paperwork at each election.
I believe that in a democracy the importance of fair elections cannot be overemphasized. The world will be watching New Hampshire next year and I want to help ensure that our election procedures are second to none.
