Why are you running for this position?
Please describe the qualities and/or experience that make you a good fit.
Is there anything else you'd like to share with the voters?
I am running to be clerk of Ward 7 because it is a way for me to be involved in the democratic process in my community. I want to ensure that elections are run fairly and reported correctly.
The clerk is responsible to ensure that the municipal, state, and federal paperwork are filled out correctly. I am very comfortable with process and tracking information. I have been the clerk for one term and found it very rewarding. I also like meeting the people in our ward and encouraging them to vote.
I have lived in Ward 7 for the past 33 years with my husband, John Paolillo. I was active in the Sunset Heights PTO for the nine years that our children attended--including being the PTO president for several of those years. For the past 14 years, I have been the president of the Friends of the Nashua Public Library. We raise approximately $25,000 per year to enrich programs that the library offers.
