I am running to serve as Ward 7's moderator because I see it as an engaging and rewarding opportunity to serve my immediate community. The electoral process is one that has been the topic of much discussion in recent years, and I see this position as a way to be directly involved in ensuring that the process is carried out fairly and to a proper legal standard.
For the past two years, I've served as a selectman for Ward 7, and I've had the opportunity to work closely with our current ward moderator. I've developed a comfortable familiarity with the responsibilities and decision making that come with serving as the ward's chief election officer, both in smaller scale municipal elections, and the large scale elections we will soon undertake in 2020. I have several years worth of experience in supervisory roles, with parallels that I feel will be well suited to fulfilling this position.
Though new within the past three years to Ward 7, I am a longtime resident of Nashua, having lived here for close to twenty five years. I have a longstanding interest in municipal governance, having actively observed and engaged with various aspects of city oversight since middle school. Serving the residents of Ward 7 directly as one of their election day officials has been the realization of a longtime aspiration of mine, and an enlightening and rewarding experience that I hope to continue for many years to come.
