Qualifications Attorney for 25 years Former CM School Board member for 10 years President of Board of Directors at Intermediate Unit 1 Governing Board member of the Pennsylvania School Boards Association (PSBA) Member of the Federal Relations Network of the National School Boards Association (NSBA)
I seek election to this office in order to continue with the hard work that I have previously done for the district for ten (10) years, and to continue to advocate for our public schools at the local, state and national level. I desire to bring my thoughtful and balanced approach to school governance to the Canon-McMillan School District.
The strength of the Canon-McMillan School District is our teachers. A child can learn in any environment as long as he or she is taught by great teachers, and Canon-Mac has them in abundance. Furthermore, the students and teachers are aided by a great administrative team and board of education that keeps the education of each individual student at the center of all decisions, and which is dedicated to providing the supplies and facilities necessary to unleash educational synergies in our classrooms.

If I had to identify area for improvement, then I would have to say that it is stagnation. The district is poised to take the next leap forward into the upper echelon of schools in the southwestern Pennsylvania area. I think that more needs to be done in order to push the district into taking that step forward.
