Qualifications For the past 4 years, I have been involved in the teaching and mentoring of undergraduate students, both when I was in undergrad and graduate school. This has allowed me to expand my knowledge based on how students are prepared for their futures after high school. In addition, it has allowed me to see the weaknesses that need strengthened in our students.
As a prior Ringgold student, I understand what I was lacking moving forward into post-secondary education. In addition, I teach at the collegiate level. Through understanding the weaknesses of my students, I am hoping that I am able to better prepare our students for their futures. I would like to see education at Ringgold become competitive compared to surrounding districts, so that our students can be prepared when they enter into post-secondary education or the work-force.
Strengths: Our district provides opportunities for students at all levels to participate in STEM activities. Not only do these activities help students to learn, but they allow exposure to “real-life” situations that students will encounter during life. A vital educational strength that our district has is many of our teachers, who are dedicated and committed to teaching our students and aiding them in becoming successful. Our teachers are responsible for meeting every student where they are and helping them master the material that is being taught in their respective classes. Ringgold also provides many extracurricular activities that help students become well-rounded individuals.

Weaknesses: I believe that there are a few educational weaknesses within our district. First, I believe that we need to focus on assigning homework and assignments that reinforce what the teachers are teaching during their lessons. It seems as if students are completing work at home that is more “busy work”
Date of Birth September 1, 1969
Education Graduate of Charleroi High School and Penn State University – Bachelor of Science in Computer Science
Qualifications Over 25 years of military and business experience, where I have leveraged business and IT solutions. My wife Tracy and I have 4 children, 3 have gone through the school district and our youngest is in high school. I am a resident of Nottingham township and tax payer of the Ringgold school district.
Over the past few years, we have made great improvements in many areas, like security, school buildings, and overall facility improvements. I would like to stay active in the Ringgold School district because there is still work to do to improve Ringgold’s standing in the area, county and state. I am a strong believer in a good balance of academics, arts, and athletics in the education of our students - which all lead to success after high school. We have made very good progress and we now have the team in place to affect real change, this is an exciting time to be part of the Ringgold School district.
As always, I think the strength of any school district are the people. This would include the teachers and administration, students and parents, as well as the communities we serve. We need to leverage that strength and the successes we have had in the past to help us improve in areas - like community outreach, academics, and the overall Ringgold standing.

We have already started to see excitement around this school year and my hope is that this will continue as we all work together to make Ringgold a great school district. We have great people in Ringgold and I have always been proud to serve as a school board member. Thank you for the opportunity.

I am excited to continue with the new initiatives we have recently started at Ringgold. We are defining what their educational success should look like, and are implementing new programs to ensure all Ringgold students have the opportunity to succeed.
Ringgold is diverse, not only in our student population, but in our course offerings. Motivated students can excel with college-track courses, but we also offer technical classes, work-study, and career readiness classes to those who wish to be productive in the workforce. As a District, we definitely need more family interest and involvement, which will boost our students’ achievement and assist in changing the public perception of the District.

Children! I firmly believe that there is nothing more important than providing a quality education to our children. Our children are this country's future. For us to be successful as a country, we need to be committed to providing the highest quality public education possible. All children can thrive when they know someone cares. We need to be committed to their success. At Ringgold, we wasted years arguing over out-dated facilities. We've resolved those issues with a new Middle school and renovated elementary centers. We have a long term plan in place for our high school. Our district is now intensely concentrate on academic improvement. We are committed to making Ringgold a high quality academic performer enhancing the capabilities and performance of our students and staff.

In summary, I believe in public education. I am committed to providing all of our children the highest quality learning experience possible.
Strengths - Our district is financially sound unlike many of the others around us. We have worked hard to create an atmosphere of fiscal accountability. Our facilities are in great shape. We have a new middle school and have completed major renovations at both elementary centers. We have long term facility plans in place for our high school. We are COMMITTED to ACADEMICS! We have a new Superintendent with the qualifications and skill st to significantly improve Ringgold's academic performance. We have invested in strong academic support staff to help accomplish this goal. We are a SAFE district. Ringgold was the leader in developing a strong, responsive security force to protect our children and staff. Our Security department has won national awards. Weakness: We need to stay committed to developing a strong academic, high achieving school. The plan is in place. We need to stay the course
