1. In my first term a complete update of the current computer system was implemented. I plan to continue working closely with the IT Department with the system to ensure the implementation of E-Filing, making it an option for filing purposes. This will help cut down on the storage of paper files and also help with the space issue the county has been facing. 2. To continue the courteous service to the public, courthouse personnel and attorneys who use this office on a daily basis. 3. Currently, the public has the opportunity to research and view the dockets (summary of the court filing) online. With the help of the IT department, I am working to offer the scanned documents for viewing. The Electronic Retrieval System offers the availability of records dating back to the 1700's to the current date. This is part of the update completed this year as a result of the scanning of 973 old docket books at no expense to the taxpayer preserving this information for generations to come.
The Prothonotary's Office is the busiest filing office in the courthouse. My experience will ensure the continued efficient running of this office. The amount of revenue brought into the county by this office has increased each of the last three years. Each budget for the county elected offices are prepared by that official. I have always worked within the approved budget amount, ensuring that all taxpayer dollars are spent wisely.
