I have been a Senior Director in Marketing for a pharmaceutical company for the last year. Before that I have had several roles in the pharmaceutical industry including marketing, training, sales, and sales management. I have an MBA and an undergraduate degree in chemical engineering. I am trained to find efficiency in almost everything I do. I am currently responsible for multi million dollar budgets to manage over 7 major pharmaceutical products. I have 3 lovely daughters that are my pride and joy. I want to be part of their education and realized that I have a passion for running for the board of ed. I have always had interest in serving my community. I served as board president for several years in my last community
I think civics education is imperative for the future of our country and community. I am not able to comment on whether or not I think the education is good enough at DTS. However, what I can say is that civics education is crucial. Many of us can benefit from better civics education in a time where division is more normal than unity.
Our children are our future and their safety is one of the most important things I will concern myself with. I have 4 girls under the age of 4 and there isn't a day that goes by that I fear what can go wrong. I have recently agreed to join a committee on transportation safety. I want to make sure that young kids are always being handed off to trustworthy family when they are released at the end of every day. I support training our children how to respond to civic threats or natural disasters as early as possible.
