Town where you live Liberty Lake
Over 20 plus years of leadership roles in the military and business sector. I have experience in hiring, budgets, procurement. My Community volunteerism with Ronald McDonald House, Habitat for Humanity, Little League Baseball. These roles have helped me lead in a variety of contexts with a diverse group of people. Collaboration. Servant-leadership. Sacrifice. I have experience making tough decisions when the pressure was high.
Measured growth. I want the city to grow. However, I do not want it to grow at such a rate that our infrastructure cannot handle the growth. Continue to provide opportunity for Liberty Lake residents to use the local parks and recreational areas. I want to make sure our City residents are taken care of first.
The Rapid growth of Liberty Lake has put a strain on our infrastructure. We are playing catch up with the infrastructure.
Our role for dealing with the environment is the same as any city. Preserve our environment for current and future generations. We must do this in a way where we can grow the city with environment friendly businesses, and homes. However, make sure we don’t regulate business to death.
Have you tried to leave town around 430pm/5pm on a week day. The traffic is out of control. We continue to add new businesses without addressing the traffic concern.
Support Non Profits that are on the front lines of homelessness on a daily basis. That support doesn’t always mean financial support; The city of Liberty Lake can educate our residents about homelessness. The council can promote and advertise these non-profits. Incentivize local businesses for volunteerism. The Board needs to lead by example and volunteer their time to help these nonprofits fight homelessness.
Our city should follow the laws that are in place, and do it in a dignified manner for everyone involved. The City should educate the residents on the federal, state, and local laws.
Social Media, emails , newspapers, town halls. Have residents sign up for email or text alerts. Make the council accessible as possible.
