1. Hold the line on taxes. We have not raised taxes 3 out of the 4 years I have been on the Board. I know how important it is to keep the tax burden low while other costs keep rising for working families. 2. Continued Parks and Greenspace Improvements. Last year, we finalized the Parks Master Plan and started to implement the recommendations laid out in that plan. This will also allow us to apply for grants to further improve our parks, fields and trails. We recently received a grant for the Springfield Trail, obtained a Delco Greenways grant to purchase a property and preserve as greenspace and started to improve drainage at some of our athletic fields. 3. Economic Development. The Township has been working on an economic development council that will bring together existing businesses, and work to attract new ones to the township. Very important for our tax base.
My main priority is to expand communication between the people of Springfield and our local government. Our residents are far too often left out of the loop on the larger decisions before our Commissioners which will impact all of our daily lives. As Commissioner I will actively strive to keep my constituents aware of the important issues that will impact them and I will always seek their input.

I also plan to have an eye towards the future of Springfield. I plan to look at each decision I make with the foresight of how it will impact Springfield 5 years or 10 years down the road. Will it make Springfield a place people are more or less happy to live in? If the answer is less happy then there will have to be some pretty powerful mitigating effects to convince me to support it.

Lastly I seek to address the increased fees and taxes residents face. It's great we have a new high school coming, but something should be done to help residents on fixed incomes maintain their home
