1) Standing up for existing businesses and business development by working with residents, Council and our state legislators to end the burdensome legal challenges to merchants' ability to sell beer and wine in the Borough of Swarthmore following sweeping passage of a referendum permitting alcohol sales in town. 2) Promoting thoughtful and reasonable business development in downtown Swarthmore to better serve the interests of Borough residents. 3) Taking a more thoughtful approach to sharing environmental burdens with neighboring municipalities.

I currently serve as a Member of Borough Council (term 2016-2019). My goal is to maintain and improve the Borough’s resources, financial health, safety and accessibility. I listen carefully, consider different views, am open-minded and treat people with respect. I work collaboratively with Residents, other Council Members, the Borough Manager, Public Works Foreman and Staff. As Chair of the General Government Committee (2016-2017), I lead our Committee in its work on the Aging-in-Place Task Force Recommendations. As Chair of the Public Works, Parks and Recreation Committee (2018-2019), I lead our Committee in its work to improve sewers, roads, sidewalks, pedestrian crossings and park improvements. I participate in 22 Council meetings per year and 24 Committee meetings per year, plus I have met, or spoken with, with many residents to discuss their requests, interests and concerns. It is an honor to serve the community, and I hope to serve a second term.
