I have extensive local government experience and a record of accomplishments in the private sector, having excelled through the ranks with a major American logistics enterprise, Ryder Corporation. While serving as an administrator with a Miami-Dade County government I pursued and earned a Masters in Public Administration. My commitment to public service has strengthened as I have had opportunities to assist the citizens of our community. I am running for office in order to have a more direct ability to respond to the needs of our citizens. Perhaps my years of preparation for public office is the one characteristic that makes me stand out among my opponents.
• Promote fiscal discipline, The greatest challenges facing North Miami are the fiscal issues. As Mayor of North Miami, working with my colleagues, I will be able to set the priorities to properly allocate our resources • Improve services for residents and businesses We must be good steward of taxpayer dollars and be more transparent in the way we conduct business. I will advocate for a comprehensive review of all departments' processes and to find ways to make them more efficient. I will also recommend a resident satisfaction survey at least once a year to make sure we hear the voices of the residents and allow them to grade our level of service.

• Promote sensible development to broaden our tax base and to eventually reduce the millage rate As Mayor, I will work to establish local incentives to ensure that our economic development efforts are focused on recruiting and expanding businesses that create good jobs and pay living wages to the workers.
