As the only candidate with a strong background in government finances and regulations, I believe thoughtful long-range planning and forecasting is imperative to hold down costs while still providing necessary public services and maintaining healthy capital reserves. I would support an Amusement tax as well as a non-resident earned income tax as alternative sources of revenues to reduce the tax burden on residents. I would promote sound business principles by improving the effectiveness of all team players and making the best use of all our resources. Inefficiency can also come from too much/frivolous regulation. I would seek to limit local law to providing for the health, safety and welfare of everyone and provide for impartial enforcement. My hope is to help the township implement ways to ensure that it is running as cost effectively as possible and the rules that govern are fair and just.

Qualifications for Office Current Commissioner and President of the Board, Pocono Township
As a current commissioner of Pocono Township, I place fiscal responsibility as my main priority. A commissioner must be well informed on all issues that impact township residents that affect their health, welfare and safety. As a representative of the people of Pocono Township, I will continue to work with my fellow commissioners to improve and enhance effectiveness and efficiency by providing for a well trained police force, a fully staffed public works department and a professional staff directed by a competent, well-informed township manager. I have participated in township workshops and meetings with state legislators, business leaders, and other townships that have shared interests dealing with sewage, water, economic development, road maintenance and repair, and discussions with PennDot on present and future state highway improvements. If re-elected, I will continue to work in the best interest of the residents of Pocono Township.

I am a firm believer in that a well balanced board can tackle and absorb more issues together rather than isolated. We all come from different walks of life, I would like to see the infighting of the commissioners ceased and start to rebuild our boards and committees. Pocono Township has grown leaps and bounds since its inception of 1st class, but has such an amazing opportunity as the center of Monroe County. Pocono finds itself in a unique position to move ahead with the times, while preserving our rich history. Following the structure of: Community, Infrastructure & Recreation, gives us this chance.
