I have experience and knowledge of government. I have served three terms on the Common Council, and I have also served as the President of the Common Council. I have also had the pleasure of being of the Labor Negotiating Committee for the police, fire, and street departments. I have been the council representative to the Plan Commission and solid Waste Board of LaPorte County.
My top three priorities are as follows:: 1. Introduce an ordinance to fund Lafayette Sewer Project in the Second and Fifth Ward. The plan and engineering was approved. However, it has not been funded for eleven plus years. 2. Set up funding for residence to receive property tax help through river boat funding. 3. Set up a forum for the Second Ward to discuss the future of old Saint Anthony's Hospital.
My main goal would be to improve the quality of living for the Second Ward residents. I will be an advocate for funding of city programs; i.e., Tree Board (no funding for three years), Park System (improvements/green space), sidewalk funding, and midtown study improvement.
Being a paper boy from fifth grade to ninth grade, while my father (Stanley Przybylinski) was serving on the council is how I got to know and understand the second ward. My father taught us to respect needs the of others, and to make a contribution to our city by serving others in some form. That principle has guided me throughout the years personally and politically. I used those principles while serving three terms on the council for the Second Ward. While serving on the council, I gave my full attention to the issues at hand no matter how big or small. I believe what differentiates me from other candidates is my knowledge, experience, and commitment I have to serve the people of the Second Ward.
