Open space preservation and fiscally responsible are two important issues. During my tenure, 320+ acres have been directly preserved by the township with an additional 575+ acres preserved through various private and public partnerships. The township is actively courting 200 additional acres for preservation. Preservation reduces development and congestion, helps contain housing growth and the need for additional classrooms in our schools. I have also worked hard to manage expenses and ensure we live within our budget. General fund taxes have been relatively flat for the past 15 years. Special assessments with sunset dates are used for open space, building, capital equipment and roads to be retired after the projects are paid.
I am running to preserve the quality of life which brought us to the township; open space, Octagonal School House, community supported agriculture, local farmer’s market, preservation of Wrightstown Elementary School and the Veteran’s Cemetery are just a few accomplishments I have been involved.
I bring my strong technical and problem solving abilities as a chemist and quality professional to the operations of the township and providing valued services to residents on a cost effective basis.
