The issues facing our community are the fight against the installation of the Adelpia Compressor Station, the preservation of our lands, the road conditions and funding of amenities important to our residents. I want a transparent coalition of supervisors and residents to explore channels available to stop the Adelphia construction. Vigilance regarding township development impacting resident property is crucial. We must keep abreast of West Rockhill’s roads and developing potholes. The revenue saved by eliminating the current supervisor’s $45,000 health benefit (which I will not accept) will better fund the Pennridge Senior (Community) Center (PSCC), Holiday House Pool, parks and woodlands. I will add township building security the police department has recommended and videotape and post supervisors’ meetings for residents’ review. I will also donate my $2500 salary to the PSCC. I am committed to transparency in government and to seeing WRT taxpayers get more for their money.
I believe West Rockhill Township residents deserve transparency in local government and an end to taxpayer funded health benefits for township supervisors. This has not been the case as evidenced by the Right to Know request that revealed my opponent has been taking taxpayer-funded health insurance valued at over $45,000 - even while he is on Medicare. I will not take any health benefits and will pass this cost savings along to residents as increased financial support for Park and Recreation projects, the Holiday House Pool, the Pennridge Senior (Community) Center and other amenities for residents WITHOUT raising taxes. Roads will also continue to be a priority and with anticipated cost savings we will be able to do more to repair them with no additional tax revenue. I request a copy of all bills paid by the township monthly and know we can find even more resources to accomplish more with our taxes.
I have participated in the West Rockhill Historical Society for 16 years as a charter member, past president and current treasurer. I have coordinated the multiple electronic recycling and shredder events annually to raise funds for the Pennridge Senior Center and other services needed by the community. In addition I pledge NOT to take the $45,000 health care benefit that my opponent took in 2019. I will take NO health benefit and donate my salary to the Pennridge Senior Center.
For the past 14 years I have served on the West Rockhill Conservation Committee to help protect the township's unique farmlands, woodlands, wetlands, streams and wildlife. With my efforts the committee has helped the township successfully realize over 60% of its goal to preserve 30% of the community as open space.
In 2016 I was recognized with a volunteer service plaque by the WRT Board of Supervisors for my contributions to our community. The plaque is currently on display in the township building
