I'd like to work with community members to create a 'center of town' where people can walk, shop, eat and feel part of a downtown community. Renovation of our local Upper Southampton Train Station into a commercial space benefitting local residents. Protecting open space in Upper Southampton. Promoting the creation of more recreational space and opportunities for walking and biking for families. Encouraging residents to be aware of and participate in decision making of how township funds are allocated. Land development decisions- protect the 10 year plan that promotes open space.
I love Upper Southampton. I've lived here for 26 years. I've raised 2 children here who attended our Centennial School District schools. Being newly retired, I have the time needed to dedicate myself to serving my township. Supporting efforts to create more open space, downtown space for walking, shopping and cultural events is my goal. As a member of the Upper Southampton Township Supervisors I can offer time and energy to working on these projects. I pride myself on being an open minded person who works hard to learn from my Upper Southampton neighbors, what they would like to see happen in this neighborhood. Consensus building has been part of my work world and community participation. Having an opportunity to bring these skills in to a public office to benefit Upper Southampton would be an honor.
I'm a trained mediator. I have participated on numerous local committees over the years including; The Bucks County Peace Center, Upper Southampton Youth Aid Panel, Penn Environment, Upper Southampton Village Market, Churchville Nature Center Student Volunteer Programs, Autism Cares. I've ran a local CSA (community supported agriculture) for 3 years. I live in a local community; Bryn Gweled where I've been a Board Member, chairperson of numerous volunteer committees and learned to work collaboratively with members of varying perspectives. I became a single parent (widowed),when my 2 children were 9 and 13 years old. I worked full time and therefore understand what it's like to want to live somewhere that's safe, healthy and full of opportunities for our youth without incurring debt.

Tragically the drug crisis has taken or ruined the lives of far too many in our community. Our police department has done a fantastic job fighting it but there are still overdoses and crime. As a township we can continue to support the efforts of our police and we can also put pressure on state and federal lawmakers to make sure they are doing all they can to write laws to combat this problem.

Traffic safety is also a big concern. As a lifelong firefighter I have seen firsthand the death and destruction that continues to occur on Street Road which was recently named the 4th most dangerous highway in Pennsylvania. This is simply unacceptable. Better designed intersections could help to save lives. This is a state road but we can put pressure on state agencies to make improvements.

Budgets are always a concern. Keeping tax rates and fees down while providing quality necessary services is a must that can be achieved by continuing to maintain a solid long-term financial plan.
Our family moved here from Northeast Philadelphia in 1960. I attended school here, played sports here, go to church here, became a firefighter here, and raised my family here. I love this town and want to promote good government and services while balancing fiscal responsibility. I support the parks, Tamanend Park Master Site Plan, recreational activities, and look forward to the coming rail trail.

I will serve and represent all township residents.

I believe we have a great town and I want to keep it "A Nice Place To Live".
As an executive officer of Southampton Fire Co., No. 1 (President 1990-1995) and (Treasurer 2005-2015) I have learned organizational, finance, budgeting, and communication skills. I was especially proud as Treasurer with the Fire Company to have had outstanding marks from both private audits and audits performed by the PA Auditor General's Office.

As the owner of a small business, I have gained tremendous experience in dealing with a wide variety of customers and suppliers. We supply tooling and machine shop supplies to customers ranging from small one person shops up to large steel mills. We have had many ups and downs including the loss of our main product line some years ago that resulted in the loss of over 85% of our business. At that point my father retired and it was up to me to turn it around. It took several years to do it but we survived! I am very proud that our company continues with the third generation of our family.
