Public safety, attracting new businesses and redevelopment of empty industrial property. I believe public safety is paramount to the other two issues. If we are successful as I know we will be in attracting new businesses and redevelopment of our industrial areas, people visiting our town and those moving in need to feel safe in our borough. A properly staffed and funded police department is one of the most important services the Borough can provide to help spur investment in our borough. The Borough has been working with the redevelopment Authority in creating incentives to attract investment and businesses into our town I will continue to support these initiatives. Also though I didn’t listed above one of Most important issues facing the Borough Is our extremely burdensome school taxes. Council needs to help the district by lobbying our state officials including the governor to find a Permanent solution.
Because I believe that Morrisville can be so much more, like a great place to visit for dinner, Come to visit our parks or historic landmarks and we are also a great place to live. During my time on Council I have seen our Borough make great strides in moving in the right direction. We have taken a Empty school property next to one of the most significant historical buildings in the country and have turned it into a open space park to enhance that historic building. We have made significant improvements to our current parks and our infrastructure. There is still much to do and I believe that I have a lot more to offer in making Morrisville all it can be.
I have been many things in my life I have been a small business owner and I currently work for one of the largest healthcare providers in the area, Where I am responsible for a multi million dollar budget so I have a day to day understanding of operating within that budget. I’ve also been a school board director where I helped with labor negotiations and preparation of a nearly $18 million budget. I also believe my past experience as a business owner gives me a perspective into what would help in attracting businesses into our borough.
