Property taxes continue to be a burden for all of our residents and the only way to address this is through legislation. We need to make this a priority and work with our State Legislators to see if we can find a solution. Another concern is public safety, residents want to feel safe in their homes and their community and know they are being protected by a professional, fully staffed police department. Economic development is always on everyone's mind. Our town leaders must keep their minds open to responsible, viable, sustainable development.
I have been dedicated to public service throughout my adult life and I am involved in a few non profit endeavors and volunteer positions and I would like to continue down that path with the opportunity to serve Morrisville. I would like the opportunity to work as a council person on the important business issues of this Historic Borough with accountibility and responsibility. I would like to see our police department returned to its full complement of full time officers, and assure the quality of life services are met, while spending responsibly. We should look into rebuilding our public works staff which has been depleted due to retirements in the last few years. I would like to see a government that works within the budget that is afforded them.
My qualifications start with my commitment and desire. Also, having worked in the Hotel industry in managerial positions for 20 years has afforded me the knowledge of running a business, working with a budget, and service to the community. As a former council person, and past member of the Pennsylvania State Association of Boroughs Board of Trustees I have the skills required to serve as a public official in a professional manner and someone who would be honored to represent and serve Morrisville Borough.
