District 16: Part of Yonkers.Term: 2 years Salary: $49,200 BaseDuties: Among the duties of each County Legislator is to enact laws dealing with the County and its residents; to adopt an annual budget and to levy taxes; to determine the structure of County Government and the number of County employees and their salaries; and to initiate new projects and programs as the need arises. There are 17 County Districts.

1. Making sure Westchester’s Homeless population has decent, safe shelter

2. Making sure Westchester County’s Criminal Justice System works for every resident

3. Making sure Child Care is affordable for all of Westchester’s Families
As new programs/functions emerge and old programs/functions are phased out, we should find efficiencies while implementing the new, and identify savings while cutting the old.

As positions are no longer needed find savings through attrition.

Protect the investment that taxpayers have made, make sure departments are fully staffed and operational as to maximize efficiencies.
