The main focus is to keep taxes as low as possible while continuing to provide excellent services for our community. I believe it is important to balance new development with preserving green spaces and implementing policies to protect the environment. We are also looking forward to working with community members on a more sustainable, environmentally friendly comprehensive plan.
I fully support Ossining’s policy of a 10% set aside for all new or rehabilitated housing over 6 units. We have created more affordable housing by legalizing accessory apartments in detached structures. We have also renegotiated PILOTS for several of our current affordable buildings so that they can upgrade the units and continue to provide quality housing for our residents.

My goal is to approach the issues by learning more about them from people in the community. I think collaboration and communication are essential to tackling our biggest challenges.
I'm supportive of creating more fair and equitable housing. I believe each development project should be viewed on its merits and affordable housing is a often a key component of those merits. Moreover, we need to explore ways to create affordable housing through ownership opportunities not just rentals.
