What is your position on increasing the supply of fair and affordable housing in your community?
City/Town of Residence
Town of Ossining
Current Political Office
BA International Relations, Brown University
Prior Civic Service
Ossining School Board Trustee 2006-15
Chief of Staff, Assemblywoman Galef 2008-15
Co-Founder, President Ossining Micro Fund 2006-2016
To make government less costly and more efficient, and enhance and protect our community's economic, environmental, and physical and mental health and sustainability, we have brought in over $1 million in grants, introduced options to the public to reduce high paid positions and professionalize and modernize our Tax Receiver, Clerk, and Highway offices, reduced our carbon footprint, offered ways for our residents to do the same, and upgraded crumbling infrastructure, parks and public spaces.
I supported an increase in the affordable housing supply in our Town by passing legislation legalizing accessory apartments in detached structures, passing solar legislation that would enable community solar projects to be built, ensuring developers included the guaranteed 10% set aside at 60% AMI, successfully re-negotiating PILOTs with companies to upgrade existing affordable housing, and adding artist live-work zoning. I will continue to work to maintain/improve fair and affordable housing.
