WHITE RIVER SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 416 Proposition No. 2

Capital Projects LevyThe Board of Directors of White River School District No. 416 adopted Resolution No. 17-32 concerning a capital projects levy. Explanatory StatementPassage of Proposition No. 2 would allow the levy of $3,170,000 in property taxes within White River School District No. 416 for collection in 2019, the levy of $3,425,000 for collection in 2020, the levy of $3,625,000 for collection in 2021 and the levy of $3,775,000 for collection in 2022, to fund improvements to technology, including but not limited to equipment, infrastructure, and staff training. These levy dollars will also support critical projects such as replacement of roof at White River High School, improved parking at Elk Ridge Elementary School, replacement of the maintenance building at Glacier Middle School, and add classrooms to meet K-3 class size reduction requirements. These taxes would be collected in the school years from 2018-2019 through 2022-2023. If authorized by the voters, and based on projected assessed valuation information, estimated levy rates per $1,000 of assessed value would be $1.06 (2019 collection), $1.09 (2020 collection), $1.10 (2021 collection) and $1.09 (2022 collection). The exact levy rate shall be adjusted based upon the actual assessed value of the property within the District at the time of the levy.
