The Board of Health consists of 3 volunteer members who each serve for three years. The Board:Supervises and guides the Health Department's professional staff which assesses the public health needs of the community, provides environmental and community health services, communicable disease prevention and surveillance, public health nursing services, and health promotion initiativesEnforces local and state sanitary regulations

As a Wellesley BOH member, I have gained great respect for the knowledgeable, caring and hardworking Health Department staff. I would be proud to serve this dedicated team by contributing my expertise and experience as a public health practitioner and educator. My top priorities are ensuring that public health services are delivered in accordance with governmental laws and regulations by addressing disease prevention and control, environmental protection, mental and behavioral health and improving quality of life through primary prevention and health education programs. By prioritizing collaborative partnerships with all Town volunteer boards, committees, businesses and organizations, I believe that we can most effectively ensure health security and safety for Wellesley.
