I have 35 years of experience in this office. Deputy County Clerk for over 12 years, then ran my own business providing records research in Lubbock and other courthouses and clerk’s offices for another 11 years. Lastly I have served the citizens of Lubbock as their County Clerk for 12 years.
The County Clerk serves primarily as the chief record’s archivist for the County Courts and the Commissioner’s Court. The clerk also records deeds and other property records and issues marriage licenses. In addition, the clerk records birth and death certificates, liens, assumed names, wills, probates and cattle brands. The job requires excellent organizational, management, and accounting skills.
