I have 25 years experience as an appellate attorney and am running for an appellate court. I have respect for the parties and the law, and will follow the law unless the Constitution dictates otherwise. Good listener and believes all persons r equal.
Improved DNA testing could be a boon, but it has to be done, done correctly, and available promptly. Better training of law enforcement to use and make available the tools they have, such as body cameras. Better quality attorneys defending the indigent - the establishment of the Public Defenders Office was a plus. More appellate attorneys actually handling pro bono.
Before you can actually apply the law, you have to know what it is. In my 25 years, I have learned much law, but excellence in legal research is my highest priority and you accomplish that with hard work. I will also check the record to make sure both sides are correctly representing it.
