Self-represented civil litigants are rarely appointed counsel, judges cannot give legal advice and litigants must follow the law as if they were represented. I have worked to establish a self-help clinic at the courthouse and a pro bono program for our Court of Appeals. These programs will help the litigants have access to the courts and help the Courts be effective.
My highest priority is to follow the law as written and apply it impartially to assure the integrity of our justice system. I will continue to work hard to dispose of cases fairly and efficiently and will perform my duties in such a manner as to justify the the public’s confidence and faith in the justice system.
