Texas has "the first-in-the-nation" pilot project in which indigent defendants choose their own lawyer, which promotes one's trust in having received procedural justice. The "Client Choice" project seeks to confront a reputation that appointed lawyers provide less than quality representation. We must promote the public's trust and confidence in equal justice for all.
Educated, experienced, and ethical, Justice Rebeca Martinez offers the judicial temperament, impartiality and professionalism necessary to preserving the public's trust in the judiciary. During her term, Justice Martinez has achieved her highest priority by reinforcing the public's trust in her courage, integrity and capacity to decide cases without fear or bias. Thank you
