The District Attorney is one of the most important elected offices in Ontario County. This office prosecutes crimes, collaborates with police, and has a significant impact on how safe you are every day.

I’m running for District Attorney because nothing is more important to me than the safety of the people of Ontario County.

I’ve served for 18 years in the Ontario County D.A.’s Office, currently serving as First Assistant D.A. I’ve prosecuted the worst crimes – murders, rapes, assaults, child abuse, and more. It’s tough, but rewarding, work.

I’ve been in the trenches here in Ontario County, every day, every week, every year – for the past two decades. I’m proud of my record in the courtroom, prosecuting thousands of cases and handling more than 100 trials and 160 appeals.

Aside from my work as a prosecutor, I’ve worked hard for our community - volunteering with the Child Advocacy Center, as a Sunday School Teacher, with Kiwanis and Rotary, and as a youth sports coach.
The opioid epidemic is taking far too many lives. That’s why I recently announced a comprehensive three-point plan to fight the problem through Prosecution, Treatment and Education. Additionally, I include in my top priorities prosecution of Child Abuse, and prosecution of Elder Abuse and Fraud. We must protect vulnerable citizens.
I support Drug Court and Youth Court under the right circumstances. In regard to drugs, we’ve extensively researched this national problem and I’m ready to tackle it with a comprehensive three-tiered approach:

1) We'll pursue aggressive prosecution of drug dealers and violent offenders. Those who peddle poison will get the book thrown at them. I have no tolerance for these despicable acts which harm children and adults alike.

2) We'll provide increased treatment options for non-violent offenders. Some users just need a way out of the hold of addiction in order to get their lives back on track.

3) We'll pursue prevention through a concerted effort to educate young people about the dangers of drugs. If elected as D.A., I commit to appearing personally at every school district in Ontario County to talk directly with students about heroin and other drugs. Our next generation needs to know the dangers up close and personally and I’m ready to deliver that message.
Law enforcement and the D.A.'s Office must have a good working relationship. My 18 years in the Ontario County D.A.'s Office have shown that loud and clear.

Law enforcement has recognized my efforts, and I’ve been endorsed by the NYSP Investigators Association, Canandaigua Police Benevolent Association, Geneva Police Department Local 3471, and retiring District Attorney Mike Tantillo.

They know that when a call comes in about a shooting, I won’t have to waste time figuring out criminals’ street names. They know that when the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner calls at 2 AM, I’ll be on my way to the hospital to calm the victim.
