Blaine-Birch Bay Park & Recreation District 2 Proposition 2017-8

At their July 11, 2017 meeting, the Board of Commissioners of Blaine-Birch Bay Park and Recreation District 2 adopted Resolution No. 2017-02 for continuing a property tax levy of $0.10 or less per $1,000.00 of assessed valuation for a six (6) year period (2018-2023) to fund staffing, operations, community program support, maintenance and capital improvements. Should this proposition be approved?Explanatory StatementThe Blaine-Birch Bay Park and Recreation District Board of Commissioners propose a continuing property tax levy of $0.10 or less per $1,000.00 of assessed valuation for a six (6) year period (2018-2023) to fund: Activity Classes, Sports Opportunities, Community Recreation Events, and Leisure-Time Activities for All Ages Year-Round in the Blaine-Birch Bay communities.The funding also supports 2 Indoor Recreation Facilities, 2 New Parks, Developing Kids Playgrounds, and Expanding Inter/Intra Urban Bike/Pedestrian Trails.Households receive this for $20.00 per year ($1.66 per month) for a residence with the assessed valuation of $200,000.00 per year.
