Pro and Con Arguments For and Against the Measure

This is a replacement of a levy that expired. It is just 1.7 mills (17 cents for each $100 of valuation) and would help pay the salaries of emergency medical service workers (firefighters trained as paramedics) and other firefighters. The levy would be due in 2018 and will run for five years.
Failure of this levy would decrease property taxes slightly. This is the second time the levy has been on the ballot; it did not pass the last time.
