Pro and Con Arguments For and Against the Measure

Every 10 years, Lakewood convenes a Charter Review Commission. The most recent nine-member commission began meeting in 2014 and has decided that amending various provisions based on current circumstances made little sense. They decided the best thing to do was to rewrite the charter. The proposed amended charter can be read here: http://www.onelakewood.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/Final-Report-2014-Charter-Review-Commission-final-version-08122014.pdf
Some Lakewood residents might prefer that the original charter be changed through specific amendments rather than through a rewrite.
