I would like to serve my community and make a positive contribution to its future.
Water quality, water quantity and fire protection are the most important responsibilities of a water district. I feel that stormwater runoff and management is also a concern because of our shallow soils and slopes in this district.
Water quality always should be the first priority. Safe water must be preserved for the health and well being of the residents. Water is a finite resource. Mismanagement of water can cripple a community and economy.
I am an educator with a background in agriculture, agronomy and natural resources. I have been a resident of this district for the past 37 years. I understand the scientific and environmental issues of water and the delicate balance of property development.
I would promote water conservation and native plant landscaping. Responsible property management will also be an ongoing priority.
