I understand that the rail bridges need urgent attention. Also as part of the infrastructure is that zoning and density has to be updated to allow a more healthy growth.
Homelessness is a serious social problem that can not be avoided or left to others to explore. I think the city should somehow create/support services that will reduce the painful consequences of homelessnes, like adult education, drug addiction, life skills, and promote the construction of low income and multifamily housing. Safety is not only a matter of how strong is your police, but more importantly about creating and sustaining peace and social justice.

To help to create an even better quality of life through services like Adult Education and arts events. To support the Senior Center.
We should all support DACA, in a city like Mt. Vernon, where we can all witness the contribution of hard-working Hispanics in important industries in our region. We should appreciate and better understand the huge effort and sacrifice that undocumented students and their families go through. We need to educate citizens about the valuable contribution made, and their potential
An unprecedented Housing Crisis Lack of investment from potential companies to came to this attractive area. The lack of good working opportunities for our youth. Reduced quality of life for many of our hard-working families.
The Housing Crisis it brings very serious and painful consequences, that could be prevented if the right housing development would be implemented. Homelessness, chronic poverty, lack of development, mental health
We have a mayor, and I would participate in frequent Study Sessions, private and city council meetings. Training and research with City Staff,
