The current deer control program should be expanded to allow for more culling in a safe environment as the deer population continues to pose real safety hazards to motorists.
Competition among water suppliers may reduce the cost to Westlake water consumers; therefore, the current litigation against the City of Cleveland should be pursued to resolution. The Westlake law department, with its current staffing level, should represent the City of Westlake in this litigation and thereby avoid outside counsel fees.
The City has retained an engineering firm to implement the recommendations from the school board to accommodate the increased traffic flow. The recommendations include street widening, a turn lane on Center Ridge Road, a signal at Westown and Dover Center Road, and a signal on Center Ridge Road at the school entrance.
The City can have input on Crocker Park parking and traffic flow issues through negotiations with the owner of Crocker Park.
