I support OneVirginia2021 in their quest to end gerrymandering. All district lines must be compact, and should not split precincts, follow city boundaries, only cross rivers at bridges, and take no account of the voting history of the people in the districts.
I would push for a bill to have municipal elections during the general elections. This way, it would cost less and it would encourage more voting. Furthermore, so that no one's vote is ever wasted, I will propose legislation to have instant runoff elections, this way nobody would have to waste their vote. The voter can then rank their votes.
We need to encourage oyster farming in the Chesapeake Bay by removing regulatory hurdles. The bay needs to be filtered by oysters, allow people to make money cleaning the bay. Properties in areas that are affected by recurring flooding should not be rebuilt at the same elevation that they currently are.
I would propose no changes. They meet the standards for ethics and transparency, prosecutors need to learn how to prosecute elected officials that take bribes better. We need to end corporate welfare, thus ending the profit motive for ethics violations. PeopleExpress should not have happened because Newport News should not have been able to support them.
I will encourage catastrophic illness insurance along with health savings accounts.‭ I would also promote getting rid of Certificate of Public Needs. They make health care unaffordable and less effective. Killing people for profit is not good health care policy.
End all victimless crimes. Allow parents to send their child to any public school of their choice or take 75% of the money to private or home schools. Make Virginia constitutional carry. End corporate welfare. End civil asset forfeiture. Allow doctors to prescribe anything. End policing for profit. Restore civil rights to felons who have completed their sentence. Repeal House Bill 2. Allow casino gambling. Legalize, tax, and regulate marijuana. Make all fines go to the general fund.
