A system of checks and balances must be monitored on a regular basis. When you investigate the process you can discover possible mishandling or fraud.
Infrastructures must be maintained. This is not enough, water systems must continually be appraise of course, but when necessary updated and replaced. Before a failure. Thinking long term prevents problems for future generations.
I would encourage more involvement for voter turn out and citizen participation in the process. I would like to see a shorter time period for the election process. Term limits for certain offices could also work.
North Tonawanda has been dealing with the police dispatch issue and I feel it could have been handled better. I'm not entirely sure that it is resolved even though an agreement has been made. The city is also dealing with flooding in the neighborhood streets and yards. Wheatfield and North Tonawanda are both affected by the Niagara Landfill Situation on Nash rd over to the Forbes neighborhhood. Crumbling infrastructure in the area is always a concern.
I hope to improve on infrastructure so that our communities do not feel the agony and disaster that other Rust Belt communities have had to struggle through. I want to advocate the local hiring of labor for government projects or tax subsidized projects. It is a great way for our own tax dollars to come back to us and stay with us. I would like to showcase the talents and reliability of our local work force to attract more industry.
