SeaTac is progressing toward positive change regarding community safe streets by reorganizing and re-initiating the Sidewalk Advisory Committee. SeaTac has some of the best maintained roads in the region.
SeaTac has increased financial commitment to human service benefits and needs. To apply for services, recipients need to provide proof of residency origin. The city provides financial support to the emergency food banks in the area, but does not provide housing assistance.
SeaTac provides an excellent activities center and programs for our senior community. Financial subsidize benefits are also available for individuals requiring assistance. I support these efforts.
Our community is comprised of a large immigration population. I personally support legal immigration. Our country maintains laws on immigration – I support abiding by our established laws.
> Opportunity for criminal activity is high in SeaTac due to easy in and out access to the area. > Balanced growth at Sea-Tac Airport and mitigating the negative environmental impacts to the surrounding communities. > Improving quality of life and increasing civic pride.
Continuing to work toward positive relationships with the Port of Seattle Airport Operations. The airport is the single largest impacting influence on our area – both economically and environmentally. The Council must continue to strike an equitable balance between growth of the airport and negative impact on quality of life and the environment in the City of SeaTac.
A strong and successful working relationship now exists among the current council majority. A council made up of like minded individuals who care for and are focused on city issues, not outside interests or political career building. I as well am an individual who holds an equal concern for our community and our residents. I am fully prepared to continue promoting positive change for our city and do so in collaboration with my council peers, providing explicit measurable actions to our city manager to implement through city staff.
