Education MS, Industrial & Systems Engineering BS, Mechanical Engineering
I am an Engineer by education and profession. I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering from University of Washington and a Master’s degree in Industrial/ Systems engineering from Georgia Tech. I have over 30 years of experience in Project/ Program Management and Information Technology, and for the past ten years, been supporting the DOD as a contractor. I am married and have one daughter. We move to the City of Northville in 2005 because we liked the small town experience the city offered. I was elected to the Council in November 2013 and now running for a second term. Over the past four years, I have served the City the best way I could. I have closely examined every issue that was brought before the Council and have taken stances that puts the city and community first. If elected for a second term, I want to use that experience and the lessons learned to help maintain our community’s quality of life, safeguard the heritage of our city, preserve our historic district, improved property values, foster civic beauty, and strengthen our local economy.
The two main issues, in addition to others, that I believe the next Council will face are, infrastructure (Roads, water/ sewer pipe upgrade, etc.,) and more affordable housing for our growing population. The latter will depend a lot on what ultimately happens to the Northville Downs. With respect to infrastructure, the present council has started addressing some of it. However, more needs to be done.
