I am currently a free-lance writer as well as an artist working in watercolor and stained glass. In 2013 I founded and conduct a twice monthly writing workshop at the Library.

My professional career includes more than 25 years in hospital public relations and co-owner of a successful school that taught building practice throughout lower Michigan for 17 years. I have two daughters and five grandchildren.

I have served the community for more than 30 years as a board member and officer of both the Friends of the Rochester Hills Public Library for 14 years and as an elected member and officer of the board of trustees of the library. I can only speak to the concerns of the library in regard to top priority issues in our community.

1. Foremost for the library is continuing to provide access to information, technology and opportunities for everyone in our community regardless of age, background or ability.

2. The library should function as a helpful resource for students at every level as well as for those seeking employment and meaningful past times.

3. It should provide a community space for people to learn and be entertained.
