Education St. Xavier H.S. Miami University, BA- History & Political Science William & Mary Law School, J.D.
Occupation Department of the Treasury, Supervisory Tax Law Specialist, and Adviser to the Director of Employee Plans. I manage a group of accounts and lawyers reviewing pension plans.
Experience I have attended Three Rivers School Board meetings for over three years educating myself on the District. I have also participated in numerous community forums and events.
Political Philosophy Fiscally conservative.
I have worked for several years to learn about the issues facing the district and have met with administration and many current board members to educate myself on the history of the Board and the challenges I can expect as a Board member if elected.
Transparency - I want the Board to provide oversight. The current board is reactive, only taking what the administration brings to it.

Focus on Academics - Too much time is spent on creating core value statements and vision motto's. I want to look at what programs are offered and determine if they are serving the current needs of students.

We need to create a safe atmosphere for District employees to provide constructive criticism. We won't improve if people can't bring up concerns they have.
Consensus only comes when all viewpoints are given a full hearing and meaningful consideration is given to all viewpoints. In our District there is a thought that those who disagree with those in power are bad people. Things are often made personal. We need to create a more professional atmosphere at the school where people are heard and decisions are made on the merits of the idea, and not who is behind the idea. I promise to give everyone a fair hearing and use my vote impartially if elected.
