Incumbent
Relevant Experience Planning Board Town Meeting Member, Precinct E Former Advisory Committee member
I am running for another term on the Planning Board in order to continue the work the Town has to do to grow smartly. Planning has an overview of the Town assets and an understanding of the Town’s changing needs. It is often referred to as land management or community development. So, the essential role that I see for me and for the Planning Board is to develop and implement the vision and directives of the 2007-2017 Comprehensive Plan as well as the upcoming Unified Plan. That means collaboratively studying specific issues such as residential development, storm water effects and management, the Route 9 corridor. That means developing policies and regulations (Zoning Bylaws) to address those issues. And, in the end, that also means permitting many of our projects. There is a lot to do.
