Petersburg has a council-manager form of government. One Council member is elected from each of the City's seven Wards to serve a four-year term. The Council elects a Mayor and Vice Mayor from among its number. The Council hires a City Manager who administers operations of the City.

There are many issues to address for example the inflation and homelessness.

I served in the military for twenty-one years and how to be a leader and a great listener of people’s concerns.

Streets/road and the flooding in certain locations of the ward.
