What are your top priorities?
Transparency. Keeping everyone in District #5 aware of what's happening in their area.
Data, AI, Bitcoin, Windows farms.
Mental Health
What is the biggest challenge facing the county, and how would you address it?
All the different centers wanting to be built in our County.
I would like to see a moratorium placed on all centers until the State of ND, City and County have rules in place to protect our citizens. Stop giving huge subsidies to these companies or property relief. We need to actually see how many jobs to build and after built the jobs to ensure that it's worth it to allow them into our community.
How would you address the housing needs of the county?
Currently we need to focus on our roads. Before new construction starts and work with the builders that they will ensure paved roads into all areas of the new build.
Do you expect that the new state law capping property tax budget increases at 3% will impact the county’s budget?
We need to stop increasing property taxes. We are taxing people out of their homes along with raising the price of new construction.
How would you address the county’s list of infrastructure maintenance projects?
With the purchase of the Fairgrounds there needs to be improvements there. Again we need to focus on the roads and work with the townships in whatever capacity we can to help with funding.
