What are your top priorities?
Working on getting home rule for Barnes County.
Making sure county is working for all residents of Barnes County
What is the biggest challenge facing the county, and how would you address it?
Working within the 3% rule that the state handed us.
How would you address the housing needs of the county?
I have supported the program we have had for grants for new housing the last two years.
Do you expect that the new state law capping property tax budget increases at 3% will impact the county’s budget?
Yes, in a negative way.
How would you address the county’s list of infrastructure maintenance projects?
We have many bridge projects that need to be addressed, two are on the book for next year. Funding is the issue, the Bridge bond with need to be increased in 2028 to meet the needs.
