I bring more than seven years of judicial experience in the Las Vegas Municipal Court, serving as a Pro Tem Judge since 2019. I have been trusted every elected judge to preside over the vast array of proceedings across all departments. In 2022, I served as Interim Hearing Master, managing a high-volume docket and specialty court calendars. In addition, I have over fifteen years of legal experience in state and federal courts. I bring years of experience making decisions, managing a courtroom, and applying the law fairly and consistently, and I am ready to serve on day one.

In my service as a Pro Tem Judge, I have approached interpreting and applying the law by starting with the plain language of the statute and controlling case law, applying it as written. I then evaluate the facts and evidence presented, ensuring each party is heard and that decisions are based on the record. I strive for consistency so that similar cases are treated similarly, while remaining mindful of the specific circumstances of each case. My role is to apply the law fairly, thoughtfully, and without bias in every decision I make.

In my service as a Pro Tem Judge, I have ensured fairness and impartiality by applying the law consistently, treating every person with respect, and making decisions based solely on the facts and the record. I approach each case without bias and maintain the neutrality required of the court. I also prioritize clear communication so parties understand the process and the reasoning behind decisions. Through preparation, consistency, and respect in every interaction, I have worked to foster a courtroom where individuals feel heard and where the public can have confidence in the integrity of the process.

My experience comes from daily courtroom work, not theory. I have handled a high volume of cases and have served on both sides of the courtroom, as a public defender and as a prosecutor, giving me a balanced, real-world perspective on public safety and individual rights. I have worked with victims, law enforcement, and defense counsel, and appeared before judges handling a wide range of criminal cases. I also have experience in specialty courts focused on breaking cycles of addiction and crime. This in-the-trenches experience has prepared me to run an efficient courtroom and deliver fair, consistent decisions.

Experience on both sides of the courtroom guides my approach to every case. I carefully review the facts, apply the law as written, and follow binding precedent. My role is not to make law, but to apply it fairly and consistently. That balanced, real-world perspective helps me evaluate the arguments of all parties and understand how decisions affect everyone involved. I strive to issue clear, well-reasoned rulings grounded in the law, while treating everyone who appears before the court with respect and impartiality.

I apply the law evenly, treat every person with respect, and base decisions on facts, not personal views. Experience on both sides of the courtroom gives me a balanced perspective in evaluating each case. I will run a courtroom that is orderly, respectful, and efficient, where all parties are heard and proceedings remain focused.
