Work to ensure insurance coverage.
Find where the main problems are and work to improve.
How would you address the housing needs of the state?
Affordable housing, taxing base that is fair, have programs that assist in building housing.
What is your position on allowing public funds to be directed to non-public education?
Our constitution tells us we must educate and we have a public school system that works. Other options are available if families so choose.
What are your views on the current voting methods and access to voting in North Dakota?
I think our system works and there are many ways everyone can vote.
What is the role of the federal government regarding states’ rights, and are there currently any areas where you believe there is an imbalance?
I am for our states making our own decisions for the good of our citizens with citizen input.

In past elections, I received endorsements from Speaker Kim Koppelman, also endorsed by ND Farm Bureau because of my agriculture background and service on the Agriculture Committees. I have also been endorsed by Ag Commissioner Doug Goehring. I have also been endorsed by North Dakota Family Alliance and North Dakota Right to Life.

What are your top priorities?
Advocacy for: safe communities, policies that help fill workforce shortages, efforts that ensure the continued growth and success of the ND State College of Science, limited regulations, abundant affordable energy supply, tax relief for ND citizens.
How would you ensure that North Dakotans’ healthcare costs are affordable?
Competition among medical providers and insurance providers is the most impactful way of keeping both affordable.
How would you address the housing needs of the state?
One of the greatest deterrents to home ownership is real estate taxes. The lower we can keep property tax rates, the more we allow home owners to apply and qualify for loans. The more we keep in the buyer’s pocket, the more they are able to apply available funds to payments of interest and principle.
Lower interest rates help buyers shorten time to when their home purchase is paid off in full. That is a good day!
What is your position on allowing public funds to be directed to non-public education?
This depends on the context. What non-public school items are suggested? school supplies, instructors, free lunches, vaccinations, athletic programs, bricks and mortar?
The state is constitutionally obligated to provide for education of our children. This can be applied in widely varying degrees. Most importantly, we need to ensure every student receives a quality education that prepares them for life-long success.
What are your views on the current voting methods and access to voting in North Dakota?
The election system is quite accommodating and easily accessible to the voters of North Dakota. The NDSOS website is helpful in keeping voters informed and finding their voter locations. Use of voter identification ensures ND citizens vote in ND elections.
It is important that citizens be confident in our elections. One that ensures we have a reliable election system that prevents fraud and ensures accuracy.
What is the role of the federal government regarding states’ rights, and are there currently any areas where you believe there is an imbalance?
I whole heartedly support ‘states rights’ which is a constitutional provision. The best form of government is that closest to the people which is also most in the people's control and most efficient. There are things that we as a state are unable to provide for ourselves like national security and defense as an example, however the states interests are best served by the state’s citizens and those we elect to represent us.
