How would you ensure that North Dakotans’ healthcare costs are affordable?
Determine what citizens want/need through communication and questioning. Work with legislators/governor to provide researched data from communications and research. Support legislation to provide appropriate, affordable care.
How would you address the housing needs of the state?
Research and determine needs. Present findings and along with teams develop and introduce legislation to meet needs.
What is your position on allowing public funds to be directed to non-public education?
Quality public education should be provided and there would not be a need to direct funds to non-public institutions. Education choices should be the purview of parents, and funded appropriately. ALL children's needs must be met appropriately and provided by public funds. This is the future of our children!
What are your views on the current voting methods and access to voting in North Dakota?
North Dakota is unique in that we do not require voter registration. I believe methods and access are appropriate to all of ND's citizens.
What is the role of the federal government regarding states’ rights, and are there currently any areas where you believe there is an imbalance?
I believe that the rights that have been delegated to states should be respected and supported appropriately by state representatives.
Voting is most appropriate run by states, trust must be afforded to voting officials.
Women's health should not be a legislative issue, but an issue between doctors and their patients.
All individuals residing in ND should be treated fairly and equally.

Protection for Medicare and Medicaid, research on medication costs, access to quality health services for all.
How would you address the housing needs of the state?
North Dakota ranks 45 / 50 in ability to have comfortable, affordable housing. The cost of living in our state compared in income needs to be explored.
What is your position on allowing public funds to be directed to non-public education?
As a firm believer in quality education for all, I do not support public funds directed to private education. Both of my adult children received for great public education in the West Fargo Public Education system, leading them to excellent post-high school opportunities.
What are your views on the current voting methods and access to voting in North Dakota?
Safeguards for maintains accessible voting in North Dakota are vital to maintaining a fair and strong democracy.
What is the role of the federal government regarding states’ rights, and are there currently any areas where you believe there is an imbalance?
A balance of power between the federal government is at risk in the area of energy development and environmental regulation. As North Dakotans, we need to advocate for greater state control over land and resources, protecting our heartland.

Tax Relief: Continue strengthening the primary residence tax credit to provide property tax relief for homeowners. Public Safety: Ensure our first responders have the resources, training, and equipment they need to effectively serve and protect our communities. Education: Strong schools are essential to the long-term success of our state. They are the foundation of our society and economy. Economic Development: Support policies that strengthen economic growth and expand workforce development.
How would you ensure that North Dakotans’ healthcare costs are affordable?
Ensuring affordable healthcare in ND requires a balanced approach that expands access and reduces costs for families. Supporting Medicaid expansion to provide coverage for low-income families. Additional priorities include enforcing healthcare pricing to promote competition and reforms to reduce prescription drug costs. Reducing premiums and improving affordability must remain central to creating a stronger healthcare system for all.
How would you address the housing needs of the state?
Addressing North Dakota’s housing needs requires sustained investment to expand affordable homeownership and ensure stability. The state Housing Finance Agency provides key financing, while programs like FirstHome offer low-interest mortgages and down payment aid. Supporting these efforts, boosting housing supply, and expanding workforce housing are essential. Community land trust models also help preserve long-term affordability and strengthen communities.
What is your position on allowing public funds to be directed to non-public education?
If private schools receive public funding, they must meet strict transparency and accountability standards, including audits and open records compliance. Because many have selective admissions and may not serve low-income or special-needs students, any school accepting public funds should be required to provide equitable, nondiscriminatory access. Public dollars must ensure equal opportunity for all students.
What are your views on the current voting methods and access to voting in North Dakota?
North Dakota has some of the most secure and transparent elections in the nation. In 2021, State Auditor Josh Gallion stated that an examination of North Dakota’s election systems, conducted in response to voter concerns, found them to be “incredibly secure.” North Dakota continues to take a proactive approach to election security by utilizing paper ballots, which provide a reliable and verifiable audit trail. Additionally, all eligible voters must present a valid form of ND identification.
What is the role of the federal government regarding states’ rights, and are there currently any areas where you believe there is an imbalance?
North Dakotan currently is urging the U.S. Supreme Court to review cases involving landowner rights, federal energy regulations. These concerns often center on whether federal actions align with state law and the appropriate scope of federal authority.
Federal courts have been involved in redistricting and voting rights cases affecting Native American communities. These cases often address questions about whether legislative maps provide fair representation.

A practical way to make healthcare more affordable is to focus on increasing competition, improving price transparency, and putting patients—not bureaucracies—in control of their care.
How would you address the housing needs of the state?
Addressing housing needs in our state starts with making it easier—not harder—for the private sector to build and provide housing. The best way to increase affordability is to increase supply, and that means reducing unnecessary regulations that drive up construction costs and slow down development. Ultimate, we should promote policies that strengthen the economy overall—good-paying jobs, low taxes, and responsible budgeting—because when people have stable incomes, housing becomes attainable.

I believe public education funding should ultimately serve students, not systems. Families know their children’s needs best, and they should have the freedom to choose the educational setting that works for them—whether that’s public, private, or faith-based.
Allowing a portion of public funds to follow the student—through mechanisms like education savings accounts, scholarships, or vouchers—can expand opportunity, but with public dollars comes accountability.

I believe North Dakota has a strong foundation when it comes to voting, and we should continue to ensure our elections are both secure and accessible. Voters need to have confidence that every legal vote is counted and that the system is fair and transparent.

The federal government’s role should be limited to the powers specifically outlined in the Constitution, with the rest reserved to the states and the people under the Tenth Amendment. States like North Dakota are best positioned to make decisions that reflect the needs, values, and economies of their own communities.
