Make health-care prices transparent. Analyze and cut the underlying provider costs—not just insurance premiums. Increase competition. Give consumers more control over their health-care dollars. Preserve access in rural North Dakota. Focus on prevention and primary care.

North Dakota needs more affordable housing, but government cannot solve the problem alone. We should reduce unnecessary regulations and barriers that drive up construction costs, encourage private investment, expand workforce training, and use state housing funds strategically to leverage private dollars. The goal should be to increase housing supply, lower costs, and ensure North Dakota communities can attract the workforce they need.

I strongly support allowing public funds to follow the student, including to non-public schools. Parents—not government—should have the primary role in deciding their child’s education. School choice expands opportunity and encourages accountability and competition. Any program should include strong fiscal safeguards, transparency, income eligibility, and accountability to ensure taxpayer dollars are used responsibly.

I support secure and accessible elections in North Dakota. I strongly support voter ID requirements to protect election integrity and voter confidence. I support absentee voting for those who need it, while maintaining safeguards to verify ballots and prevent fraud. I do not support universal mail-in voting. We should make voting accessible while ensuring every legal vote is counted and every election is secure.

The federal government should fulfill its constitutional responsibilities while respecting the authority reserved to the states. I believe federal overreach has become a significant problem, with Washington increasingly imposing mandates, regulations, and conditions on states and local communities. States are often better positioned to address their own needs. I support restoring the proper balance of power and protecting North Dakota’s right to govern itself.

I am increasingly concerned about unaffordable health care premiums, rural access to quality health care, viability of small town grocery stores, and the need for local control over construction of new data centers.

I would support or introduce legislation to expand access to Medicaid in ND. With declining federal funding, the State of North Dakota must ensure North Dakotans have access to quality health care.

This is a critical issue for North Dakotans. Buying a home and finding an affordable rental unit is increasingly difficult. I would work with legislators from both parties to find solutions. The State owned Bank of North Dakota should offer low interest mortgages to first time homebuyers without balloon payments.

Public funds should be used only to support public education. ND teacher pay is ranked 40th in the Nation; our schools need every dollar they can get. Taxes should not be siphoned off to subsidize private schools.

North Dakota runs safe and secure elections but the voters in District 33 need increased access to ballot boxes near their homes. Mail-in voting must continue to be an option.

The federal government is increasingly attempting to interfere in state rights, like elections, while expecting states to fund critical formerly federal programs including healthcare, disaster response, crop subsidies, etc.
